Traits

Hood (Basic)

Category: Basic
Species: Terralien

A covering of the head or neck. May or may not be functional.

  • This trait allows for the addition of new colors without the need for an item. Any new colors can only be applied to the area affected by the trait — adding new colors elsewhere on the body requires a Betta Brush.
  • Can resemble:
    • Hooded sweatshirts: Can have hoodie strings without aglets for free. Aglets on the hoodie strings would require the Material Parts trait.
    • Caps: Caps, such as mushroom caps or jellyfish bells, may be added via the Plant Growth (Mushroom cap) trait or Tentacles trait (Jellyfish Bells).
    • Fins/Webbing: “Wings” found connected to the heads of marine animals like Manta Rays can be applied by combining the Fins/Webbing trait and the Hood trait.
    • Living parts: Teeth on the rim of the hood, functional/3D eyes, or limbs on the hood require the Living Parts trait in addition to the hood trait.
      • Button eyes can be applied with the Charms trait.
      • Flat patterns resembling closed eyes do not need additional traits.
      • Ears on the hood require the Ears trait.
    • Fur tufts: Large tufts of fur around the neck, or fur resembling a mane requires the Fur trait in addition to the Hood trait.
  •
  • CANNOT resemble:
    • Material parts: 3D stitching that separates different colors requires both the Charms and Material Parts traits in addition to the hood trait. While hoodie strings are free with the Hood trait, strings with aglets require the Material Parts trait.
