Traits
Goopy Skin (Basic)
A wet, slimy texture covering the surface of a Terralien’s skin.
- When adding this trait via a design update, its color must be derived from the Terralien’s pre-existing body colors. Adding new colors requires the use of a Betta Brush.
- Can be stylized, but cannot resemble liquid body parts.
- Goop coverage cannot be deeper then the surface of the Terralien's skin — otherwise the Elemental trait is required.
- Can be shiny, but CANNOT mimic Iridescence, Material Parts, or Metallic Shimmer without said traits being applied.
- Visor glass, as well as horns, claws, and spikes that are not covered by skin CANNOT be affected by this trait.
This trait is applicable to the following subtypes for free when submitting a new design:
- Amphibian
- Marine
- Edible
- Synthetic
- Microbe
- Planetary
A Gummy Eye is required to apply this trait to the following subtypes, or to pre-existing designs:
- Sprout
- Bug
- Beast
- Reptilian
- Fossil
Antenna (Basic)
Extra sensory appendages located on a Terralien’s head.
- When adding this trait via a design update, its color must be derived from the Terralien’s pre-existing body colors. Adding new colors requires the use of a Betta Brush.
- Cannot mimic Horns, Spikes, or Tentacles without said traits being applied.
- Can mimic the shape of ears so long as no ear canal is present.
- Whiskers fall under the Antenna trait.
- Antenna can resemble eyestalks when combined with the Eyes on Body trait.
- Antenna cannot protrude from the visor itself without the application of the Shaped Visor trait.
- Antenna protruding from the visor band DO NOT require the Shaped Sensors/Band trait.
This trait is applicable to the following subtypes for free when submitting a new design:
- Bug
- Marine
- Edible
- Synthetic
- Planetary
A Pincher Potion is required to apply this trait to the following subtypes, or to pre-existing designs:
- Sprout
- Reptilian
- Beast
- Amphibian
- Microbe
- Fossil
Horns (Basic)
Hard, often pointed protrusions located on a Terralien’s head.
- When adding this trait via a design update, its color must be derived from the Terralien’s pre-existing body colors. Adding new colors requires the use of a Betta Brush.
- Must be located on the head — anything “horn-like” located on the body falls under the Spikes/Thorns trait.
- Horns protruding from the visor band DO NOT require the Shaped Sensors/Band trait.
- Can be shiny, but CANNOT mimic Iridescence, Material Parts, or Metallic Shimmer without said traits being applied.
- Horns filled with liquid require the Terrarium Keratin trait.
This trait is applicable to the following subtypes for free when submitting a new design:
- Sprout
- Bug
- Reptilian
- Beast
- Synthetic
- Edible
- Microbe
- Fossil
- Planetary
A Shell Pot is required to apply this trait to the following subtypes, or to pre-existing designs:
- Marine
- Amphibian
Arthropod Tail (Basic)
A tail resembling that of an arthropod’s.
- When adding this trait via a design update, its color must be derived from the Terralien’s pre-existing body colors. Adding new colors requires the use of a Betta Brush.
- Insect-like legs connected to the tail DO NOT require the Duplicated Parts trait. However, non-insect legs, such as legs with paws, do.
- The Exoskeleton trait is required for Arthropod Tails with an exoskeleton.
This trait is applicable to the following subtypes for free when submitting a new design:
- Bug
- Synthetic
- Edible
A Skittering Tail is required to apply this trait to the following subtypes, or to pre-existing designs:
- Sprout
- Amphibian
- Beast
- Reptilian
- Marine
- Microbe
- Fossil
- Planetary
Mandibles (Basic)
Insect-like mouth pieces or pincers.
- When adding this trait via a design update, its color must be derived from the Terralien’s pre-existing body colors. Adding new colors requires the use of a Betta Brush.
- CANNOT be applied to the visor. Mandible-like protrusions from the visor require the Shaped Visor trait.
- Can be shiny, but cannot mimic Iridescence, Material Parts or Metallic Shimmer without those traits being applied as well.
- Can be located anywhere on the body.
This trait is applicable to the following subtypes for free when submitting a new design:
- Bug
- Synthetic
- Edible
A Pincher Potion is required to apply this trait to the following subtypes, or to pre-existing designs:
- Amphibian
- Sprout
- Beast
- Reptilian
- Marine
- Microbe
- Fossil
- Planetary
Plant Tail (Basic)
A tail made of plant or fungal matter.
- When adding this trait via a design update, its color must be derived from the Terralien’s pre-existing body colors. Adding new colors requires the use of a Betta Brush
- Plant Tails can consist of tentacle-like vines, but cannot mimic marine tentacles without both the Aquatic Tail and Tentacle traits.
- Does NOT grant the Plant Growth trait.
- The Plant Growth trait is required if smaller plants are sprouting from the Plant Tail itself.
- Can be made up of fruits or vegetables, so long as the plant the fruit/vegetable is growing from is present.
- CANNOT mimic Object Tail without both traits being applied. For example, fruits or vegetables that are not growing from a plant fall under Object Tail and Plant Tail.
This trait can ONLY be applied to the Sprout, Synthetic, and Edible subtype. To apply this trait to pre-existing Sprout, Synthetic, or Edible Terraliens, an Oddity Tail is required.
Aquatic Tail (Basic)
A tail resembling that of an aquatic animal.
- When adding this trait via a design update, its color must be derived from the Terralien’s pre-existing body colors. Adding new colors requires the use of a Betta Brush.
- Does NOT apply to simple tapered tails, like those found on Otters.
- Does NOT require the Fins/Webbing trait, so long as any fins or webbing are located only on the tail. If any are present on the body, the Fins/Webbing trait is required.
