Synthetics are "manmade" Terraliens with any sort of non-living, or unnatural, objects present in their visor. They are unique in that they are able to have screens replicating a traditional Terraliens "critter". 

Unlike other Terraliens that can reproduce through combining essences, this subtype is sterile and artificially made. The methods of their creation are not widely known, and tend to be handled at only the far corners of Terrah. The Terralien public has had a mixed reception to both edibles and synthetics, with many still seeing them as too unnatural and not to be trusted.
