Fall was one of Nyanos’ most beloved seasons. There were numerous reasons as to why this was so. Firstly, the crunchy leaves. The satisfying crunch of the crispy, orange and brown leaves make as Nyano steps on them individually, one by one. The crisp air flows around them, blowing more leaves towards Nyano’s direction. Nyano feels the crisp air flow coming from behind them and they turn around quickly to get a face full of leaves. After a few seconds, Nyano looks at the ground where the leaves rested and jumps high in the air before jumping down onto the leaves, drawing out a magnificent crunch as they land.

Pleased with themselves, Nyano decides to head to the pumpkin patches. Not to squash the pumpkins, but to pick one out to carve. Decorating pumpkins to make them scary was a favorite activity of Nyano. They had a lot of practice before on trees, but now they want to do it on pumpkins.

Approaching the fields, Nyano scours around looking for the biggest, tallest, roundest pumpkin they can find, not leaving until satisfied. Although this proves to be a difficult challenge for Nyano, as with hundreds of pumpkins to look through, they don’t give up. As night approaches, Nyanos’ determination to find the biggest, tallest, roundest pumpkin that they can find only increases more and more. After what feels like hours of searching, Nyano finally spots one laying behind a tree, perfectly rounded, and almost half their size.

Pleased with their findings, Nyano slowly begins to roll their prize back out of the fields. Unfortunately they can’t go any faster, because of the pumpkins size and weight, it is too heavy for Nyano to lift. With every step Nyano took, a happy little chirp came out of them, pleased with their prize. After rolling the pumpkin through the fields and passing the smaller pumpkins, Nyano finally takes a short break.

Upon a short glance to their left, Nyano notices a small wagon. This would be perfect to wheel their pumpkin back to carve. With a little bit of strength, Nyano managed to lift the pumpkin up onto the wagon and pull it all the way back home.

Nyano slowly begins to carve into the pumpkin before realizing that the pumpkin seeds are still inside! They carve the top of the pumpkin off and reach in to take the seeds out. The texture of the inside of the pumpkin is squishy and slimy, after the seeds are removed, Nyano resumes the carving of their pumpkin, ending it with a spooky cat wearing a witches hat on a broom.
