there are 532 words total in the story! the story writes about mio trying to help out lydia, but then they take junior to the playfair, then come back to help lydia restore their satellite and create the strange core! (my sincere apologies if the information was inaccurate. i wasn’t sure how to gather materials that would help with restoring the satellite. did it break/did it fall down? hence scattered pieces? and i also wasn’t sure how the strange core was produced so i just used the rewards of the prompt!!)

It was a breezy afternoon. The sun was nuzzled between the clouds, sleeping to its heart’s content. Lydia, Mio, and Junior arranged a table under the tree. Lydia was going to create the strange core, an astrohedron. She was focused on the strange objects she laid in front of the tablecloth. Mio looked curiously, but they could not understand what she was looking forward to. Junior, who was underneath the table the whole time, was drawing on a small sketchbook. Mio looked at Junior, who glanced back. They faced each other, seeming to communicate. Junior excitedly held up their sketchbook, showing Mio the playfair they had been so excited about. Lydia seemed bothered, they looked at the three mysterious items she had in front of her. She held each item and examined them closely, as if looking for something. Seeing Lydia troubled, Mio came around to offer Lydia some help. They signaled for Mio to take Junior to the fair, as them playing around would only distract her from concentrating. A bit disheartened, Mio nodded and tapped lightly on Junior’s shoulder. As if trying to combine the items, Lydia pushed them together. Junior jumped up and down excited, closing their sketchbook and taking Mio’s hand. The two skipped down field, Junior. As they approached the entrance of the playfair, there were other terras gathered about. Some were by the stands, some looked at the games the fair offered. Junior dragged Mio to the bean bag tossing stand. As Mio watched Junior have fun and throw the bags, they did not expect them to score a full score. Junior chose a grub plushie as their prize. As Junior persisted for Mio to give it a try, it was a lot harder than they had expected. Junior hopped to the ink dart throwing booth. Mio watched them skeptically, somewhat nervous. Junior was dead set on throwing the darts, and there was nothing Mio could do. The booth terra gave Junior three ink darts. The goal was simple, try to get all three bullseyes. Mio stood by Junior, who looked at the darts with determination. In a simple gesture, only the sound of wind whistled past. Alas, three bullseyes! Junior chose a giant lollipop for the prize. As the sun set, the sky burned with passionate streaks. The air was cooler, and terras had begun to leave the fair. Junior held Mio’s hand as they walked back to find Lydia. As they approached the tree, Lydia was repairing her satellite. Mio let Junior go play as they went to help Lydia lift up the satellite. Lydia admits that trying to produce the strange core was more difficult than they thought it would be. Mio assures them that they could help make it together. Mio handed Lydia a piece of metal, and the two had gone back to the table. With the help of Mio, Lydia and them were able to successfully compress the items to create the core. An astrohedron. Junior looked at the two terras were were in awe of the core, and they came out of curiously. The three of them crowded over the core, the glowing star-like orb bright in their hands.
