"Don't touch that! ..please." Lydia tried not to raise her voice too much but she was trying to carefully manage her new "brother" and her work. Prying Junior away from her desk she set up her materials again in proper order. Junior himself suddenly busying himself with a flask left unattended.
"But Lydia! I want to play, why would you leave your toys out and not want to play with me?" He complained as he spun the glass in his hand. "I want to go to the fair but what you're doing looks fun too." He went to reach for more materials on her makeshift desk before she gently pushed his hands away. Her tail swishing in slight agitation as she tried to formulate a new idea to create a astrohedron. Junior seemed to want play more than work and she couldn't have that while she was busy.. Glancing around to see if she could gently push Junior onto another terra for the time being.
Letting out a sigh, when she didn't spot anyone nearby she found a few useless sheets of notes and sat them down next to Junior. "Here, if you want to help me maybe you could draw me some ideas? Or make a story we could share with the new terras? I'll take you to the play fair myself when I'm finished her okay?" She wagged her tail as she watched Junior nod excitedly and bounce off with the paper and writing materials. Breathing out a sigh of relief knowing this meant he'd leave her alone for a little while at least.
Lydia fumbled with the components for ther astrohedron as she tried to put it together. Occasionally casting a glance at Junior playing with the papers and doing...well whatever he decided to do with them. Though it wasn't too long before he made a reappearance, slapping his doodles and the pens back on the desk. "I'm done!" He yelled rather loud, making Lydia flinch a moment.
Though right before Lydia was going to try to shoot him off again he knocked over her notes. Lydia let out a soft gasp before groaning in frustration as Junior resumed bouncing around her desk in excitement. "I'll get them!" Junior immediately joined the scramble to collect Lydia's lost documents before she could even get a word out. Lydia herself scrambling to pick up the few she noted fell under the desk and others she feared may blow away or get lost within the whirlwind of activity.
Suddenly she paused, picking up one of the papers Lydia realized it was Junior's. Though the scribbles and doodles looked very familiar to the recipe and model she was making. "Junior?" She looked over at him as he paused carrying a stack of papers he collected, his head suddenly tilting. It took him a moment to realize what she had before he bounced in place. "That's my drawing! Do you like it? I was trying to draw the toys you were playing with but I couldn't remember it exactly..but I tried!" He giggled and dropped the papers he was holding in his excitement to bounce around again.
Instead of scolding him or trying to push him away she let out a soft laugh.
Tinkering with the astrohedron again except following Junior's doodle she bounced on her feet too. Laughing again she ran over to the chaotic terra and scooped him up, causing Junior to laugh along with her despite being confused. "Did you like my drawing that much Lydia?" He giggled as he was sat down. Lydia continued the laughter before nodding. "I'm not sure how exactly, but you somehow gave me the exact information I needed. Thank you..." She pointed to the completed component on her desk before taking Junior's hand. "How about as a reward we go to the playfair now?" Junior seemed to get more excited by that and eagerly took Lydia's hand as she guided him to the fairgrounds.
