abbreviating Paramecium to Para bc im not typing all that rn 💔💔
Para awoke to see several tents set up, Terras hoarding around them everywhere they looked. "You’ll need three things to ‘form’ a planetary Terra," the figure by the name of Lydia started, her voice taking on a serious tone as she began to explain technical stuff. "A Pearl of the Cosmos, Twinkle Twinkle Little Jar, and Crystallized Debris. They’re not exactly common, so you’re going to have to do some work." Para let out a sigh, their hand running through their fur as they stared at the list they’d been writing. The items sounded interesting, and the idea of making something strange and new to them was exciting. "Oh, and one more thing," Lydia added, her voice dropping like she didn’t even want to say it. "My sibling, Junior, is getting bored. They could use some enrichment or something along those lines while I’m busy. Maybe you can deal with them at that silly Playfair or find something for them to do. I’ve got my hands full." Para chuckled to themselves, dealing with Junior didn’t sound too fun, so they decided it’d be in their best interest to hunt down resources for the Terra. The Pearl of the Cosmos was the first on the list they’d written, and ended up being the item they decided to seek out. Grabbing a bag, they started out to find it, but quickly realized they had to seek certain separate resources to form the pearl – what they assumed to be a regular pearl and some form of dust, presumably stardust considering everything happening. The breeze was cool, and the sun was just beginning to dip lower in the sky. The darker it got, the more worried they became as they hadn’t found anything, but trying to help out was better than sitting around. As more hours passed, and the terrain they traversed grew rougher. Their paws were starting to ache, but they suddenly spotted the perfect pearl ahead of them. They took a deep breath, acknowledging this was only the first step of the two. They ran and grabbed the pearl, quickly putting it into their bag. Soon, though, they wondered how they'd get the stardust that would surround the pearl. They wondered whether they’d done the right thing by assuming the pearl was just a vessel and not something that’d directly fallen from space. Just when they were about to give up in distress, they saw a glow. Para approached slowly, unsure of what they would find. The glow got brighter, and soon enough, they saw it. The stardust that would have to be infused with the pearl. Para carefully picked up the dust in a vial. It far was lighter than they expected of something from space, but the moment they touched it, their paw seemed to feel cool, distracting them from their thoughts. Before they could think too much about it, Para slipped the pearl and vial into their bag and began heading back, hoping their assumption about the pearl was true. Perhaps they’d end up at the Playfair with Junior later.
