The Doctor stepped out of the TARDIS and into the dense, emerald foliage of Terrah, his sharp eyes immediately catching sight of the strange plant-like growths that covered nearly every surface. The leaves shimmered with an otherworldly luminescence, and the vines seemed to pulse with a life of their own. He crouched down, his wings getting tangled into the strange foliage, as he examined one of the vines closely. It was thick, more like a root than a plant stem, and it wound its way up trees, across boulders, and even through the underbrush, as if it were searching for something. He could feel the energy radiating from it, something alien.
"Well, that's interesting," the Doctor muttered to himself, straightening up and brushing his hands together. His mind raced with possibilities, each more worrisome than the last. This wasn’t just any plant growth; it had intelligence, purpose, and perhaps even malevolence. The satellite crash had been reported only days before, plummeting into the wilderness of Terrah with no warning. And now these strange, plant-like growths had sprung up all over the planet. Coincidence? The Doctor didn’t believe in coincidences, especially not when they were this obvious.
He turned on his heel and began walking, the growths crunching underfoot. The Doctor reached into his pocket, pulling out the sonic screwdriver, which buzzed and whirred as he scanned the surrounding vegetation. The readings were off the charts, the levels of bioelectric energy almost impossible for a plant to generate naturally. This was no ordinary flora. Something—or someone—was behind this, and he intended to find out who.
"Let’s see," he mused, his tone a mixture of curiosity and excitement. "A satellite falls out of the sky, and then, suddenly, Terrah starts sprouting all these lovely, little... menaces. I’ve seen this before. Sort of." He paused. "But a massive Terra? Now, that's new. That’s very new."
The rumors about a massive Terra roaming the wilderness had been whispered in every settlement he'd visited since arriving on the planet. A colossal being, they said, towering over the trees and yet leaving no trail of its existence. The Doctor’s eyes narrowed as he considered the implications. If there was a connection between the satellite and the growths, and now this Terra, it could mean only one thing: something had come to Terrah, something ancient and powerful, and it was using the planet's ecosystem to take root.
"Whatever you are," the Doctor said quietly, "I’m going to find you, and when I do, we’re going to have a little chat. Because whatever you're planning, I guarantee I’ll find out what you’re planning."
With that, he set off deeper into the wilderness, his heart pounding with anticipation and excitement.
