Meridia had been one of the few to see the spaceship fly over Terrah. Curious enough already, once she had heard that things were going missing, she knew she had to help get to the bottom of it. She could not just sit and do nothing, not at this point! She started out by joining the search parties for all the missing items, however it seemed like they had all just disappeared into thin air.
Perhaps she had to work her way backwards? The source was definitely the spaceship, the things had been in their proper places and everything was, for the most part, normal before the spaceship. And it could not just be the only one, she felt that in her gut. There had to be more. But how was she supposed to find them, exactly? She knew Terras who could fly to space, but what if they were thousands of miles away? There was no way she could catch up to them. But maybe she could still prevent it from happening again…
As the sun set and night took over, Meridia set up her post in a decently sized tree nestled in the forest. She knew it might take a while, so she had also brought some snacks for herself and a blanket in case it started to get chilly. She watched the sky intently, even catching her critter admiring the night sky. Each minute that passed felt like an eternity. What would she even do when they arrived? Surely they would just laugh if she tried to ask nicely, but being assertive was not in her skill set either. She came to the realization she had no idea what she was doing, and she had decided to come all the way by herself to enact her plan she had not even thought to finish.
But she could not just give up now, she knew other Terras were doing their part. She was struggling to figure out what her part was, exactly, but she still wanted to do something. She looked around the dark forest around her and knew there was not much she could do tonight. She bundled up her snacks and her blanket and shuffled down the tree as best as she could. She quickly made her way home, out of the cold and dark and into her warm, cozy bed. Perhaps she and some others could brainstorm something else to try in the morning.
