Meridia had already been outside when she had heard the crash, but it was still a surprise to see the new plant life taking over Terrah. As curious as she was, she was also scared to check out the crash site. Not surprisingly, very few Terraliens where allowed at the site at a time, and Meridia was not quite special enough for access, unfortunately, but the plant life, on the other hand, was everywhere. There was no way to avoid them. They…whatever they were, did not seem to want to hurt anyone. Meridia was able to get fairly close, but still kept her wits about her. She did not touch the plant growths, not yet at least. She did not try to get too, too close, but close enough to see anything on the outside. The growths definitely looked like plants, they had the smooth texture and green leaves, and they seemed to grow from the ground like regular plants. But…they were moving. The plants ended in big, toothy heads. Nothing Meridia had seen in any of the sprout terras she knew. Close, but not quite the same. Maybe a venus fly trap, but these were too big to only eat bugs…
The heads seemed quite nimble, so she tried to avoid their potential range if she could help it. They seemed fairly docile, at least for now. But they were also still growing, Meridia knew. They were also spreading, faster than before. She couldn’t help but wonder why, though. Why Terrah? Was Terrah the only planet affected? She quickly came to terms with the fact she might never know the answer to the latter, but the former she hoped was not for any bad reasons. At least, not bad for Terrah. She figured, if they were harmless, no one else would mind them staying and co-habitating with them. But they could not be very harmless, right? Not with their big, sharp maws like a wolf or a dragon. Those were meant for biting and chomping, and Meridia was not planning on being a target. After trying he best to get a good look, she was shooed back home so more tests could be run on the plant growths (and so that she would not be in the way for it). Whatever they were, she kept hope that they were peaceful. Terrah would find a way to make peace, and to keep everyone safe.
