Boing stared up at the sun, panting lightly from the heat. The news had been reporting anomalies related to the sun's solar flares lately. The summer was noticeably hotter than usual, with many robotic and mech terraliens experiencing troubles with their reception, signal, and sometimes screens. Boing's screen hadn't had any troubles yet, but he was still concerned nonetheless.

"Why's it gotta be so hot.." He mumbled, turning away from the sun and prancing inside to the nicely air-conditioned building. "Ahhh.." He sighed in relief, smiling and waltzing over to the freezer. He reached up, opening the freezer and digging around. "Where are they?" boing grumbled, shoving items to the side as he searched for his stash of popsicles. He dug around for a while before sighing and realizing he must've gone through them all. "Dang." He huffed and sat back down on the floor, dreading walking to the store in this energy-sucking heat.

The terralien spent a few minutes hyping himself up for the walk to the corner store, hopping around in an attempt to get more motivated. "Come on, boing, you can do it boing!" The small, round creature repeated to himself before swinging the front door open and trotting out into the heat. The cornerstone was about a 15 minute walk, but he was already getting exhausted and warm within a few minutes of leaving the house. The small terralien panted as his paws pressed against the hot concrete. "Uuuuuuughhhh" He exhaustedly groaned before climbing onto a nearby bench. The sun was beating down on him, getting harsher with each passing second. He took a few minutes to regain himself before heading off again. Despite the heat, the scenery was lovely. He watched bugs and birds fly by to distract him from the excruciating heat.

He passed the nearby park that was usually crowded, noticing it was empty, no terraliens wanted to be playing in this heat. He sighed and continued to trudge down the path before the convenience store finally came into view. He was relieved, smiling and skipping his way to the front doors. He happily walked through the aisles, turning to face the freezer area before stopping dead in his tracks.

"Noooo!!!" He yelled out, crouching down in front of the nearly empty freezer section. It seems others had the same idea as him. He begrudgingly swung the freezer door open, grabbing one of the few items left. "Cookies and cream.. I wanted popsicles.. but I guess ice cream is.. fine" He took the ice cream to the counter and paid before heading back home. Despite not getting what he wanted, he was happy to be refreshed on his way back.
