Lillian and Marty had been dating for a few months now and decided to finally move in together. They didn’t have *a lot* of money though so they could only really afford a small apartment. They had to stay near the city (which Lillian was too happy about) but Marty still needed to stay close to her work studio. They didn’t have a way for her to work from home just yet as she was part of the management team at the time. Marty promised though that once they made enough money they could move to a more urban area just like Lillian dreamed of. When they got to the apartment though it did NOT look like the pictures. The sink was broken, some parts of the wall had chipped off paint and there seemed to be dust everywhere. But it was too late to back out now.. Lillian and Marty spent the next few months trying to fix up the place. It really tested their relationship having to be in such a stressful and exhausting situation. But it seemed to only bring them closer. Lillian remembers one key moment of it all though. She was laying on the bathroom floor trying to fix the piping to the sink and Marty was sitting on the edge of the tub trying to read of instructions of how to fix a pipe. Lillian was growing impatient though, while Marty was trying to take the safer way of how to do it by having instructions Lillian wanted to get it done faster and easier. It started a small argument of how they should do it before Lillian just pulled on her wrench causing the pipe to shoot water right at her. The room went silent before they both bursted out into laughter poor Lillian looked like a soggy confused cat when she got shot with the water and Marty just said it taught her a lesson to take her time before she helped her girlfriend by getting a towel. They eventually did fix the sink, the correct way, and once their apartment looked almost brand new they felt really accomplished. Sometimes it’s nice to have someone to test your patience or even teach you a lesson in a way. Now that they had a fixed up apartment they thought it would be a good idea to get a pet together. Little did they know that pet would be the cause of many more things needed to be fixed..
