Ahh April. The season for idiots to do dumb stuff and for silly gooses to be even sillier and. Goosier? Wally never really had anyone to play pranks with, but this year, he decided he was going to try on his friend Faust. He was pretty easy to spook despite his weird past, so Wally decided hey, why not?
The first part of his prank was in motion: buy the items he’d need for his silly little prank. He hadn’t planned anything too extravagant so it shouldn’t be too hard to find what he’d need. He headed to the store, grabbing a ton of confetti, glitter, a pie, and a ton of kazoos.
He set up his strange contraption in the door of his house, a pie ready to be thrown, kazoos ready to be played, and his glitter confetti bomb ready to blast. Wally sat ready in his house, waiting for Faust to receive his message and come over. He loved the thrill of waiting, wanting to witness Faust get bamboozled and glitter bombed. Though this giddy thrill soon left after he hadn’t shown up for what had seemed like hours. Wally got up, somewhat disappointed, sighing, he laid down on the couch, wondering if Faust would come.
Faust walked along the cold pavement, hissing to himself. Why would Wally invite him over so late in the day? He lived super far away and his truck had broken down rather recently. His claws smacked the pavement with every step, a constant clicking noise was all Faust could hear. Ugh.
He soon saw the lights of a darkening neighbourhood, subtly turning closer towards it. As long as he followed the road he’d find Wally’s house. Or at least that’s what Wally had told him. What would Wally have even invited him for anyways…? Wait. It was the night of April Fools… Damnit.
He approached the neighbourhood slowly now, creeping closer to the house Wally probably lived at. Considering all the matching features he’d listed via text earlier, that was definitely it. He looked up at the house, facepalming somewhat as he approached the doorbell. Ding Dong. He sighed to himself, tapping his claws.
He rattled the doorknob somewhat, realising it was unlocked. He pushed the door open and instantly got a face full of pie. After a second of shock, a pop came from beyond the door, he looked down noticing he was now also covered in glitter.
“Oh. You’re here!” Wally exclaimed, rushing to the door and finding a pie and glitter covered Faust. “Haha… Surprise! Uhm, April Fools!” Wally nervously laughed, waving his hands. “What kind of pie is this Wally?” Faust asked curiously, grabbing a chunk off of his visor. “Uh, it’s apple pie, why?” Wally asked, tilting his head slightly. “You know it’s supposed to be a cream pie right?” Faust let out a small chuckle, walking over to find the garbage and the sink.
“Is it? I didn’t know that, heh.” Wally awkwardly laughed, sweeping up a ton of the exploded glitter and confetti. Faust nodded, throwing some water at Wally. “Happy April Fools you moron.” Faust sighed, laughing once more and sitting down on Wally’s couch. “Let me help with the pranks next time, okay?” Faust asked, wiping off his visor. “Of course, heh, I don’t think I’m very good at this April Fools thing.” Wally sighed. “You did your best and I’m proud of you for that.” Faust looked over at Wally, trying to comfort him. Wally nodded. Wally felt somewhat less embarrassed now, he thought Faust would be more harsh about it. Huh.
