The festival was something Gigglethorpe had been looking forward to for a few weeks now. However, they were currently only in the crowd. There was an attempt at participating in the event; however, the hosts had forbidden them to. The alien had an unintentional habit of being too chaotic. During a previous holiday, they had started a fire in the kitchen. Such a "gift" had not been received with joy from Persephone. Show hosts were worried that the extraterrestrial would end up causing the stage to fall to ruins or harm the crowd.
Despite this, Gigglethorpe was enjoying their time clapping, cheering, and watching in wonderous whimsy at everyone's talents and skills.
Many people would do some form of dance. Gigglethorpe was fond of people who danced with props, like ribbon or fire dancers. Especially fire dancers. The bright licks of flame were always wonderful to watch, even just when sitting beside a campfire.
Individuals who played some form of instrument also caught the alien's attention. Musical devices of every kind were one to be enjoyed, from the fairytale-esque sound of flutes and other wind instruments to the almost guttural sound of drums and basses. In particular, Gigglethorpe liked electric instruments. They had the ability to make such unique are peculiar noises that they were rather fond of. Beeping and whirring were often sounds they made themself, to communicate or to simply entertain.
But there was one act that stood out against all the rest.
As Gigglethorpe scanned the stage, their eyes widened at the sight of a magician preparing for their act. The alien had always been fascinated by illusions and sleight of hand. They leaned forward in anticipation, eager to witness the magician's tricks unfold.
The magician's performance was nothing short of mesmerizing. Gigglethorpe watched with rapt attention as cards vanished into thin air and objects transformed before their eyes. They couldn't help but let out a delighted giggle as the magician pulled off each trick flawlessly.
Although, it wasn't just the performers on stage that captured Gigglethorpe's interest. The alien found joy in observing the audience as well. People of all ages and backgrounds had gathered for the talent show, faces lit up with excitement and awe. Gigglethorpe couldn't help but feel a sense of camaraderie with them.
As the talent show drew to a close, Gigglethorpe couldn't shake off the feeling of inspiration that lingered in the air. They had witnessed a plethora of talents and skills, each more impressive than the last. While they may not have been able to participate in the show themselves, Gigglethorpe felt grateful for the opportunity to be a part of such a magical event. With a contented sigh, they joined the crowd in a round of applause, their heart filled with joy and admiration for the performers.
