The girl's eyes stopped on the phone for a while. In the open gallery was a picture of an advertisement with only a few lines written on it. Brightly colored letters and small patterns called for participation in the annual festival. Miloti's mind immediately flashed back to the moment last week when a reminder of this festival had first caught her eye.
Her body completely froze, and her brain frantically searched for a reason why the girl had forgotten about such a large-scale event. There was so much to do this year that the event had completely slipped her mind. There was one week left! A slight panic went through her, but the bewilderment didn't last long. And in the haste of the busy woman's work and classes, she had one more goal — prepare for the festival.
Now, remembering those worries, she only grinned slightly putting her phone in her bag. The girl fully prepared for everything stood in front of the entrance to the event. The streets were mottled with colors and teeming with all sorts of faces. Looking down, one could see different kinds of creatures walking between the crowds. Apparently they had come to perform with their masters. Miloti was walking towards her booth with a satisfied look to take part in the performances.
Miloti quickly gets to the right person, fills out all the necessary paperwork and looks up in surprise when she hears, "Oh: unfortunately, you're late. There are no more speaking slots available." No? What do you mean. No? The girl stared at the bid taker for another moment in bewilderment before she indignantly turned around and headed towards the stages. Yes, Miloti had her own number to perform. Yes, she was sad and hurt. BUT!!! She was determined that nothing could ruin this day. The fact that she was already here meant she was going to have a great time!
The rest of her evening went rather colorfully. The green-haired girl found her own ways to entertain herself, watching all sorts of performances and buying souvenirs. Some gave incredible performances with fire. Someone interrupted their beliefs and came out of their hole to show off their molding skills. Some even had gift souvenirs if people stood near the stage during the performance. The festival is an important annual event just because everyone comes up with something new every year.
And so the festival comes to an end. Everyone goes home, not excluding the heroine of this little story. Miloti walked home with a sense of satisfaction as fatigue piled on her shoulders. It felt good.
