Basil and William ran around town, going from each yard sale to the other scavenging for items.
The pair already had a carload of things they had brought, yet they still wanted to buy more.
“I can’t believe I got a sofa for so cheap.” William stated, as they drove the car to a yard sale.
“I know, I managed to snag a TV!” Basil nodded at the TV that was stuffed in the trunk of the car.
“Hey look, that Terra’s selling a cat!” Basil pointed at a yard sale, as William slammed on the brakes of the car and the pair screeched to a halt.
“Don’t you think we’re buying too many things?” William asked sheepishly. “I mean, we’re really clearing out yard sales today.”
“It's all cheap, I’ve gotta buy as much stuff as possible today.” Basil leaped out the car while William waited inside, and came back minutes later with a cat in her arms.
“Only 50 grubs.” Basil smirked, before placing the cat in the trunk along with everything else.
“Oooh, look! That Terra has lamps for sale. I could really use one, or two.” William drove to another yard sale, and opened the trunk.
All the things the two had brought toppled onto William, who fell over with a shout.
“Oh my, looks like I did buy too much stuff.” Basil looked at William with amusement as the Terra struggled out of the pile.
“Just stuff it all back in, I’ll get that lamp.” William frowned, before scampering over to the yard sale as Basil began cramming all the items they’d brought back into the car as her new cat watched from the front seat.
“I got it!” William shouted, running back to the car with a lamp over their shoulders.
“Good, now we’ve got to get home, I couldn't close the trunk. I had to tie it together with a piece of string.” Basil grabbed the lamp from William, before throwing it into the car along with everything else.
