Submission (#2894) Approved

It was an unusual morning. The bed was bigger. His body felt different too. Moss would try his best to pick his head up but with how it was now half the size of his body, it was much more difficult than before. Actually, he couldn’t really feel his fingers either. His sensors still worked like normal at least. But all the scans felt wrong. He couldn’t be so small. And he was never made of any material before. What happened?

Not that it really mattered. It’s honestly not so bad to have another reason to stay inside. Cleaning all that mud and dirt off his nice white…fur? Wool? Polyester? Either way, it would be a pain.

He’d try to find his balance as he got up but the mattress was not a great surface to relearn how to walk. He soon fumbled and landed on his head, flipping back over onto his but. He laid there for a minute, contemplating his life when the door creaked open. A large dragon walked into the room with her scales shimmering.

“Where is that stupid thing?” She said to herself. The dragon in her visor scowled. She scanned the room from drawer to closet before something finally caught her eye. “Well hello there.” Shimmer went to pick up the now turned toy Moss. “Of course he’d make a doll of him. Came out better than expected actually. Expresso wasn’t exaggerating about his teaching skills.” She looked around for a moment. “I’m sure he wouldn’t mind if I showed him.” She said as she walked out of the room. Moss squirmed but it was no use. She was bringing him downstairs whether he liked it or not. But…it’s not like he couldn’t have fun with it.

“Piiiiip! You didn’t tell me you made one of your boyfriend!” She called down to him.


“What are you talking about?” Pip yelled back up.

Shimmer ran down the stairs. “Don’t lie! Look!” She held the now limp Moss out in front of her.

Pip repeatedly scanned the plush. “I…I didn’t make that.” Expresso knew this well as he looked the pattern that was held together with hopes and dreams that Pip was working on that moment.

“Then…why was it on your bed?” She asked. Suddenly, Moss jumped to life, turning his head back to her.

She dropped him instantly as the treo ran into the corner. Moss rolled up into a ball and laughed. He had a lot of explaining to do.
