Meals were mostly automated in space. Whether ready-to-eat the moment the aliens got their hands on it or simply prepared by advanced technology, cooking was something they rarely did and barely understood. This became especially confusing with the odd methods that most terraliens used to cook and prepare meals, as a kitchen in the average house looked alien to them. While both Stevie and Gigglethorpe were perplexed by a kitchen and its usage, this didn't stop their never-ending curiosity. Persephone had introduced them to cooking before, often baking them an excess of goods as a treat. With Valentines' Day approaching, the two had unanimously decided the best thing to do would be to return the favor.

This led the aliens to break into her and her partner's shared home when they were certain they had gone out on a date. What could be a better gift than a fresh dessert after a night out on town?

Standing now in the kitchen together, they were off doing their tasks. The baking pan was placed on the stove, filled with something more than likely inedible. Inedible to a sane person, anyway. The odd goop had caught itself on fire, which was beginning to grow and fill the stove, not that either of the other aliens noticed.

Stevie was making decorations to put on their baked goods when they came out, forming it out of some odd frosting he had hand-crafted. Behind Stevie, his tail eagerly dipped into the remaining goop that hadn't fit into the pan, eating it up happily. Gigglethorpe was reading over the steps to do once the goods came out of the oven, completely in their little world. They would not be particularly panicked if they knew about the fire, though, so perhaps it didn't matter.

As it began to seep out of the oven, filling the counters around the device, Stevie turned at the odd sounds. He blinked in stunned confusion at the fire, turning his gaze to Gigglethorpe, preparing to warn them that something wasn't quite right. He turned just in time to face the camera as Gigglethorpe snapped a picture.

A picture that was promptly sent to Persephone, who would undoubtedly not be having as pleasant of a date night once it arrived.
