Faust opened the glass door to the niche restaurant, wanting to show Robbie all it had to offer. He’d been waiting for the perfect opportunity to show him the place, and what better day than Valentine’s Day he thought. The interior of the building smelled of roses and other sweet things like candy and perfume. For once in his life Faust had dressed in something formal, a dark suit that seemed to complement his purple complexion. Robbie was dressed in a nice t-shirt that had a cute grinning crocodile on the front. The contrast between the two was noticeable.

The waiter introduced themself and brought the two to their table, menus already having been placed on the table in advance. “For once, I actually booked this instead of spontaneously trying to get in,” Faust explained, nervously playing with his claws as he looked around. “I’m surprised you got us in, it’s a fancy place Faust.” Robbie chuckled, the dim orange glow of the restaurant reflecting off of the two. The little crocodile in Robbie’s visor looked around, seemingly pleased by what it saw. The reptile in Faust's visor stared at the crocodile, chirping at it.

The waiter came back around, asking what drinks they’d like. Scribbling quickly on the notepad, nodding and running off. Even if it was fancy, it still had a long wait for drinks and food. Not that they expected anything different though. Robbie played with the utensils on the table, occasionally looking up at Faust. His hair was very neatly brushed today, it was cute. Their drinks were then brought to the table, just some cold delights. Faust thanked the waiter as they scurried off back into the dim restaurant.


“So uh, how’s your day been?” Faust awkwardly asked, trying to get some talk in while they sat in wait for the food to arrive. “It’s been good, definitely better since you brought me here though.” Robbie let out a soft sigh, resting his visor on his hand. If he had eyes he’d be staring all sappy at Faust from across the table. “I just thought I should do something nice since it’s Valentines and all, you know?” He explained, holding the table.


Faust and Robbie mostly sat in comfortable silence after that, even when the food and dessert came, they just appreciated the other's presence. Quality time was such a sweet thing, Robbie wouldn’t have spent the day any differently.
