Glancing down the corridor, Circuit hummed softly to himself. Coast was clear, he nodded to himself as he held his sample tightly to himself.

“Aaaaand where are you going?”

Jumping a few feet in the air, circuit whirled around after scrambling to keep his hold on his sample.

Sighing in relief he noticed it was only sable.

“Sable! You scared me…” the massive marine terra muttered, his long tentacles twitching as a result of his nerves, curling in slightly on themselves as he fiddled lightly with the vial in his hands.

“What do you have?” Sable asked suspiciously, cocking his head back to stare up at the massive behemoth that was Circuit.

Circuit held the sample tighter to his chest, shielding it from the judging bug Terra.

“I-its nothing….”

Circuit began walking down the dimly lit hallway, his bioluminescence flaring up with his nerves, making him glow brighter as the smaller male scrambled to keep up with the significantly larger male.

“It’s clearly something if you’re hiding it!” He hissed back.

“Keep your voice down!! You don’t want him to hear us.” Circuit snarled quietly, catching Sable off guard.

“Is it really that important??” Sable asked softly, jogging to keep up with Circuit.

Of course it was, it was the sole reason that circuit was still at this lab of horrors. He’d studied many different organisms with Scope, his long time friend and confidant, that was until their boss had gotten ahold of the eggs, something that neither could condone any form of experimentation on. Circuit glanced up and down the corridor, sighing as the coast was clear once more, he turned down the pathway, farther and farther away from the main lab.

He wished he could go back to studying harmless algae and getting excited with scope, but that was a thing of the past now.

“You don’t want to be caught with me, Sable. Once he realizes it’s gone he’ll be very angry and come after me.” Circuit said darkly, glancing down at the other terralien who stiffened at his words.

“What the hell is in that vial circuit??” He asked lowly, darting in front of circuit to stop him in his tracks.

Circuit growled lowly in frustration, the sound deep and guttural

“They’re….. theyre eggs Sable…” he said softly, revealing the contents and showing thousands of tiny neon orange and blue eggs inside.

Sable gasped in horror.

“They look like….” He couldnt even finish his sentence without feeling sick, Tiny backing away from the front of his visor in fear.

“He was going to experiment on them, I couldn’t let him!” Circuit growled, his tadpole swimming angrily in circles inside his visor.

“They’re innocent! And we need to find Dr. Scope, he’s the one with the key out of this shit show.” Circuit said sharply, moving faster down the hallway with Sable running alongside him.

Once at the door, he saw the wild looking scientist, frowning and tapping his foot anxiously.

“Scope! We’re here.” Circuit said in relief, watching the smaller male jump before relaxing when he realized it was only Circuit and Sable.

“Alright! We need to go-“

“GIVE ME BACK MY SAMPLES!” Whirling around all three of them went pale.

“NEVER!! RUN CIRCUIT! GET OUT OF HERE AND SAVE THEM!” Scope snarled menacingly, slamming the door open for them with his key card in the lock slot.

“But scope! What about you-“

“GO! ILL HOLD HIM OFF!” He hissed, pushing the larger male through as sable darted through the door himself.

“Thank you circuit, it was a pleasure…” was the last thing circuit heard as he slammed his massive fists on the door, trying to save his friend who helped him save the eggs.

“SCOPE!!”
