Otto, Luna, and Valsie were three neighboring friends who enjoyed each others company very much. They had known each other for some times, and they loved to share their most prized and profound things they adored more then anything. But even though they were close, they still struggled to express their affection in ways that were meaningful to each other without trying to teach one another what they appreciate the most.
One day, the three of them decided to finally have a conversation about their love languages. They sat down together and talked about the ways in which they felt loved and cared for.
Otto was the first to speak up. "My love language is Acts of Service," he said. "I love baking sweets for someone else, and nothing makes me feel more then when someone appreciates my plants I have grown for them."
Luna, who was the most affectionate of the three, spoke up next. "My love language is both Physical Touch and affirmation," she said. "I love doing being touched by my loved ones, simple hugs or touches to the ears make me feel loved. I love hearing kind words and being reassured of how much I'm appreciated."
Valsie, who was the most calm of the three, spoke up last. "My love language is words of Quality Time," they explained. "I love hearing spending time with everyone and doing activity's together to make new memories along with cherishing the past, I am always up to spending time with those I care for. That's what makes me feel the most loved."
As they talked, they realized that they had were all so very different and unique in their love language in ways that were meaningful to each other. They had all been trying to show their love in ways that were meaningful to themselves, rather than in ways that were meaningful to one another.
But with this new understanding, they were able to better connect and show their appreciation to each other in ways that truly mattered. And that, they agreed, was the true magic of their friendship. One could say community time between friends was an open door of possibilities to learn and understand each other, Luna learned alot by speaking with both Otto and Valsie about their lives and what they sought out for their futures. With sweet holidays approaching, Luna was stroking her long ears as she thought over how to gift her new found friends something they would both appreciate. For Otto she could give the gift of sweet cinnamon rolls that she baked herself, and for Valsie she could bring bring her painting supplies so that maybe they could paint pictures of plants together? Little activities to show that she cared, hopeing that they would enjoy these gifts after leaning so much about them both.
