SPRING FLOWERS AND GNOMES
The festive season was finally over, and while the cold was not YamYam's favorite weather, he did miss desserts and hot coffee.
Not to mention the creature in his helmet, who had been complaining all morning because he still ''wanted to drink chocolate with marshmallows.''

-''You should be glad that spring is coming, because that's when there's an abundance of chard, artichokes, asparagus and other vegetables.''

The terralien indicated with his hands that he was very worried. However, he decided to go out of his house (still wearing his scarf because the cold had not completely dissipated.) He stretched out his arms and lifted his ears stretching to finally grab a small snow shovel.

- Now what do you plan to do?

the aquatic being fluttering in his helmet spat out.

-''I'll remove the snow from the porch obviously, we have to start the year off right, I want our yard to be the first to be ready to receive those juicy vegetables.''

He lifted his shovel and then buried it all the way in, digging out the first patch of snow.

-You know that the heat will melt the snow by itself, don't you?'

-''What's the difference, we'll make a mini-nursery for the time being''

So they discussed for a while about how it would be more appropriate to welcome the new year, the hours passed and from time to time they stopped to have a hot drink (it was rather a comical scenario of the terralien opening his helmet for the little dragon to drink. Once the yard was free of all traces of snow he used his claws to dig into the ground and leave a good couple of seeds (he already had a tent ready against the cold and to prevent more snow from falling back) he turned on the lights and the watering system he had had ready for some time now.

''You'll see that when the cold is gone our garden will be the most beautiful of all.''

the terralien again made a couple of signs as he walked proudly through the whole place, he went out the back door to then put up a small calendar indicating the remaining days of winter with a huge X a couple of days before February.
On his way out he left a couple of gnomes wearing sunglasses as if they were pretending to be waiting for a sunny day that was slowly approaching with the days and he had already removed the snow that was on his house, finally he fixed the feeder and the fountain for the birds (he had a separate one for squirrels and rodents but he wouldn't put that one yet).

-That should be enough, can we go back inside?
''you're so naive....''
-What? I helped you morally and did quality control on the seeds we planted
"You ate half a bag of sunflower seeds.

He denied with his head and just went back to the house already calmer, after all now he had to prepare himself for the first day of the rest of the year.
