“Nipton!! Come on dude, we don't want to keep Greenbean waiting too long!” Keanu called out. Nipton rushed around his room, before finally finding his mitten he’d been looking for. Quickly pulling it on he rushed down the stairs to meet his friend at the door. “Sorry, couldn’t find my darn mittens.” he said as they started their walk to the park. “No worries dude,” Keanu reassured him, “we still left on time to meet her”. As they walked through the town, various other terraliens were out and about enjoying the serene winter weather. Various shops had employees out putting up festive decorations, just about everything from tinsel, to big wreaths covered in bows and bells. The smell of peppermint, evergreen, and vanilla filled the air. Nipton made a mental note to visit a bakery on their walk back, as the large themed cookies in the display window look absolutely delicious. Gift shops were in full swing as terraliens of all ages wanted to get their loved ones something special for the season. Nipton got lost in his thoughts and observations, only getting refocused as a snowball smashed into his visor. Loud laughs could be heard as he looked to see who the culprit was. “Hey Nipton! You better keep on your toes because I’m going to destroy you!” Of course, Greenbean. Keanu was also laughing loudly as the snow slowly slid down his visor and back onto the floor. “Oi, that wasn’t fair! I had no idea you were here yet!” he said playfully. Keanu was already rolling up some snow in his paws, so Nipton decided doing the same was a smart idea. They had all been looking forward to this for a while, Greenbean having expressed her desire to have a massive snowball fight as soon as the weather was cold enough. Keanu ended up finishing his snowball first, and quickly threw it at her. It wasn’t until it collided with her visor, and she flew onto the ground, that he remembered he was the biggest and subsequently strongest of the three. They both quickly stopped laughing, and quickly ran over to check on their friend who was still on the ground. “Oh my god Bean are you okay? I’m so sorry I didn’t mean for that to hit you so hard an-” Keanu was quickly cut off by giggles. Greenbean started laughing again, and began wiggling her arms and legs in an attempt to make a snow angel. Crisis averted, the boys soon joined her on the ground for a bit, before resuming their snowball war. As the sun began to set, Greenbean declared herself victorious. They didn’t argue, as they had both learned there really was no point once she set her mind to something. Wandering back through the town, Nipton suggested they get some hot chocolate and desserts from the bakery they passed earlier. The others quickly agreed, nice warm treats sounding perfect after being in the cold all day. Greenbean chose a matcha mochi shaped like a tree. Keanu went with a nutmeg and chocolate scone. And Nipton finally got the snow-terra cookie he’d been dreaming about all day. They all sat by the large display window, watching as the decorative lights outside turned on as the sun finally set. Sparkles of green red and gold twinkled between droplets of white as snow began to fall. They were all content to sit together a bit longer, sipping on their coco and eating their treats. Looking at both of his friends, Nipton was filled with warmth at the joy they’d had that day. He was sure now, this was his absolute favorite time of year.
