Submission (#1414) Approved

The temperature was below freezing, the clouds were a sad dark grey, and the snow continued to fall like soft little flecks like it had been for around a week now. Even with the weather outside being dreary, inside the homes of the Terras it was a different story. One home was particularly alive this evening, lights outside hung up, wrapped around the roof and the siding. Blinking softly in a rainbow of different colors, adding something nice to the white snow on the ground. Among the lights were other light decor in the yard of this house, one shaped like a Scotch pine tree but made of lights! Another on the other side of the yard was a Weasewl with a top hat on! There was the muffled sound of music and chatter emitting from the frosted windows. Where inside it was warm and bright, filled with an almost overwhelming energy of festive cheer! Many terras were here eating, drinking, and enjoying the party that had been set up by the house owner.

One certain terra however was up to no good. Nea, with fur of brown pink and cream, and with three little ice-cream pups yapping at her feet. She was standing in front of the deserts table taking whatever she could get! Feeding some even to the pups at her feet. With a giggle and a pep in her step she turned and skipped away with her plate, and on said plate was a mountain of sweets. Candies, cakes, cookies, anything she could get it was on that plate! Other terras watched and starred but for Nea their looks didn't bother her! The pups at her feet happily following along and yipping up at her for more tasty treats, which she of course obliged by giving them all a cookie. As she was looking down she had no idea what was ahead of her and suddenly-

"Oohf!"
She grunted as she ran into another terra. Dropping her plate of goodies as her pups went feral for the pile of dropped food, immediately going to dig into the pile and eat everything. The other terra was looking at her, stoic and silent. The centipede in its visor glaring at her with fire in its eyes. His clawed hand reached up to wipe chocolate from his pristine white fur with a huff. Nea starred ahead at him a little intimidated.

"I'm so sorry!"
She spoke too frightened from the accident to move. Should she help clean the fur? Get a napkin for him?

*"Here!"*
Another little voice piped up, the two of them looking down to see a blue and yellow microbe holding some napkins in hand. A smile in their visor. Edom huffed softly, then reached down to take them, wiping his fur off.

"It's okay."
Edom spoke finally.
"It was just an accident."
He said again but mostly like he was convincing himself that, that was true. Nea looked at the microbe terra and smiled back at them.

"Thank you friend."
She said to them, and they nodded back up to her.

"I know you just got clean an all Edom but they're starting a snowball fight outside we should all team up!"
Pineapple clenched their fists and with a determined stance looked up at them. Of course teaming up with the bigger terra's would give them the upper hand! Nea looked back to Edom, then held her hand out for him to shake, he looked at her hand and with a soft sigh reached out and shook it.

"Alright, Fine. We're a team then."
Edom spoke, Nea and Pineapple let out a short cheer. As Nea's pups played clean up crew, the new found team made their way outside where some of the other terras had gathered. They were making snowballs and preparing for the war that was about to unfold. Pineapple, Nea, and Edom joined in. Nea and Edom making themselves a covered while Pineapple rolled up snowballs and put them into a pile. In an almost bad accident, the three turned out to be a killer snowball team.
