Titus had been sitting at home all week without any good plans for Halloween. He was sad! He always did something for Halloween! But it seemed there were no parties, no plans to egg houses, no haunts, so what was even the point? He grumbled as he stared at the door blankly, there had to be something that he could do.

He stood up and paced around the phone for a minute, he could start to hear the children giggling outside, faint ‘trick or treat’s being yelled from ways away. A bowl of candy having been left on his doorstep. Can you be too old for trick or treating? He’d done it so many years, maybe it was time to give it up. But the thought brought a pang to his heart- the one inside his actual chest and not on his fur. He picked up the phone and typed in 3 other numbers that he knew. Asking each if they wanted to go out, just for fun! Maybe get some candy along the way. And much to his delight he got an answer of yes! Oh wonderful, not all of Halloween was lost.

He ran upstairs and dug into his closet, muttering ‘where is it where is it where???’ With a final check he pulled out the long robe and mask, worn from manufacturing and years of use. He threw it on- it still fit! He snatched up the plastic pumpkin that clunked, empty and waiting to be filled with the sweet treats of the night- and perhaps the screams of tricks. He giggled, hearing a ring at the doorbell and sprinted to the front door to find his buddies all dressed up. And so let the night begin.

I don’t think you can ever be too old for trick or treating, it’s silly to think everyone would grow out of dressing up and wanting candy (especially the candy part) so these terras have gathered together and enjoyed a night out on the block. Looks like they’ve been pretty successful with their candy haul too! A few wrappers get left behind, whoops! It happens. Especially when you’ve got some limited vision in the light of a pumpkin lantern. The Halloween bugs buzzing around the warm glow and there’s a faint scent of cinnamon in the air. However just because their baskets are full doesn’t mean that they’ll stop, they can continue to eat until their candy buckets are empty and go all over again! The night is young and holds many tricks and treats for every Terra out there, stay close to your friends or the monster in the sewer might just find you as a snack himself. Halloween is the night you should have the most fun, and be the most afraid.
